Jumping Over Our Obstacles

There is a huge need for swimming across Lee County. During our time with no water, I have searched for solutions to give this community a swim program despite the challenges we are facing. Many swim teams across the nation battle the need for water. We are not alone. I have chosen to remain optimistic and place my faith in the Lee County Government as I hope all of you have as well. Our time will come. In the background great things are in the works!
When I announced the temperaory disbanment of Sanford Aquatics Club we had hopes that another facility would be available in March. As March draws near, I'm unsure of how soon Lee County can produce available water for us to use. In light of this, High School swimming is coming to a close in just eleven days and the only pool facility in town will be closing for renovations. Not only does this take away the ability for our swimmers to practice on their own, but it effects many different groups of people in this community. I have spent much time developing a new backup plan until we are able to operate again. If you are interested in trying for one day a week swim team at TAC in Cary please let me know. Each swim family can divide the cost for the lane(s) and each swimmer can pay me $10.00 a session. It won't be much but I feel it is better than no swim opportunities for our athletes. There is a booking section on this website and you can book an appointment to attend these sessions. If I have a swim meet with the current team I coach for, I will have to skip that weekend or we will have to select another day that week to arrange this.
As always, keep believing in Lee County!
