EXCITING NEWS
The Board of Commissioners approved $266,500 worth of improvements to the OT Sloan Pool. Painting will begin. As part of this project, the hydrostatic drains will be put in the pool to allow the pool to be more easily drained and repaired in the future. At the same time, this contractor will be installing the heaters and new sand filters for the pool.
The County will also be moving forward with the purchase and installation of the moveable platform (bulkhead). Installation time is still to be determined on this one since the platform has to be manufactured.
In the upcoming budget we are asking the commissioners to hire an architect to develop the cover and new building plan for the pool. Commitments are being made long term.
We all fought for this and put our support behind Lee County to get this project off the ground and running! This is exciting news and working as a team always pay off!
I know this has been a very long and challenging process but progress is being made slowly but surely, that is something to be said about the impact of this program in the community :)
Can't wait to see you all! I appreciate your patience, support, and loyalty. It means so much to me!
